Donor Advised Funds are Great Vehicles for Directing Charitable Bequests
Did you know that you can utilize your Donor Advised Fund to direct your charitable bequests? Increasingly, we are working with families who wish to include several of our Jewish community organizations in their estate plans. Because of the increased interest, we have developed a document that provides instructions for establishing these types of gifts. Memphis Chosen as a Pilot Community to Participate in a National Family Philanthropy Training Initiative
We are excited to let you know that Memphis is one of 16 communities chosen by Jewish Federations of North America to participate in a national family philanthropy training program. In collaboration with 21/64, www.2164.net, the non-profit consulting division of the Andrea and Charles Bronfman Philanthropies, the training program will focus on how to effectively work with multiple generations of donor families in order to increase engagement and foster next generation involvement. Our goal in participating in this year-long training program is to increase our ability to serve the needs of you and your family.
New Focus Areas for 2010/2011
Jewish Foundation leadership recently met and identified several new focus areas for the next two years. We look forward to rolling out our new “Super Donor Advised Fund” Program for donors wishing to expand their involvement with us by bringing their fund up to the $500,000 and above level. We will also be offering opportunities for you to learn more about moving your giving to the next level through our “Funds to Forever” initiative. Our goal is to identify fund holders interested in establishing legacy gifts (endowments) for the benefit of our Jewish community organizations.
Thank you for making us your partner in charitable giving. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of assistance to you in any way. Have a great summer!
